Safeguarding Bartow County’s Dams Through Inspection & Improvement Planning

Since 2015, PeoplesQuigley | DCCM has partnered with Bartow County to assess and enhance the safety, compliance, and long-term performance of its dams. Our team has conducted detailed site inspections, collected critical data from the Georgia EPD Safe Dams Program, NRCS, and local conservation agencies, and prepared comprehensive inspection reports summarizing our findings. For Pine Log Tributary Watershed Structures #21 and #66, we performed advanced HEC-RAS hydraulic modeling, reviewed historical and as-built drawings, and provided expert witness support for dam classification. In addition, we evaluated stormwater detention impacts and developed actionable restoration plans, coordinating closely with state and local agencies to secure approvals. Through these efforts, PeoplesQuigley | DCCM has helped Bartow County proactively address aging infrastructure, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen community resilience by safeguarding these critical water resources.
