PeoplesQuigley | DCCM worked with the City of Lavonia to ensure the continued reliability and regulatory compliance of its water treatment plant through a series of assessments, permitting assistance, and facility improvements.
Scope of Services:
- Regulatory Compliance and Permitting: Assisted with renewing the surface water withdrawal permit, securing an NPDES permit for backwash lagoon discharges, and updating the operations permit to designate Lake Hartwell as the primary water source and Crawford Creek as the emergency source.
- Engineering Assessment and Recommendations: Prepared an engineering report summarizing necessary improvements to maintain the facility in good working order and meet regulatory standards.
- Infrastructure Improvements: Developed drawings for a new meter station to measure discharge flow and supported the city in determining a suitable site for sludge disposal.
